Citizens for Mental Health exists to support the efforts of The Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board. The ADAMHS Board plans, funds and monitors our local netowrk of mental health and recovery services. Its work is governed by an eighteen member board of trustees - all Lake County residents who serve without compensation. Board members include mental health and addiction recovery experts, consumers (people who need and use services), family members, and business/community leaders. The resulting blend of expertise and perspectives makes the ADAMHS Board uniquely qualified to handle these important issues effectively and efficiently.
