Lake ADAMHS moves after 25+ years
County Mental Health Services Board moves out of Victoria Place in downtown Painesville to new office space in the City of Mentor
Lake County, OH: The Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board has moved from downtown Painesville to Mentor.
“We’ve been in Victoria Place for over 25 years and we thank Doug Lewis, and the City of Painesville for being such a great partner and host to our Board for so many years,” said Kimberly Fraser, Lake ADAMHS Executive Director. The organization began looking for new office space with the news of the many planned changes coming to Victoria Place that include the exterior being remodelled, new entrances, planned restaurants and permanent housing zoned for the location.
The Lake ADAMHS Board searched for another office space and appreciated the assistance from the City of Mentor officials in finding a place that fits their needs better. “We wanted to see if there was a location that was accessible and a good fit for our small staff. We found this new office location in Mentor (9237 Mentor Ave. Unit B) and it fits us just right. We are along the public transit corridor and more centrally located in the county,” added Fraser.
The new building is behind Bob Evans and Walmart along Mentor Ave and Heisley Rd. The Board celebrated on December 18th, with a ribbon cutting with the Mentor Chamber of Commerce and local officials. “We are elated to have a county organization, like Lake ADAMHS, here in Mentor where they can be a resource to local businesses leaders, residents, and students that struggle with substance use disorder or are living with a mental illness,” said Christine Weber, President and CEO of Mentor Chamber of Commerce.
Their new official address is 9237 Mentor Ave., Unit B, Mentor, OH 44060 and additional questions about services can be answered by calling the Compass Line at 440-350-2000.
