Chief of Police, Carl Dondorfer, sworn into the Lake County ADAMHS Board
Lake County, OH: The Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board recently swore in Carl Dondorfer as a Board member during their regular March 20 meeting.
Dondorfer was sworn in by Commissioner John Hamercheck. Established by Ohio statute, the ADAMHS Board plans, evaluates, monitors, and funds services for Lake County residents with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Those services are delivered through a network of providers. Board members are all Lake County residents who serve without compensation.
Dondorfer is currently the Chief of Police for Waite Hill Police Department. A Concord Township resident for over 25 years, Dondorfer has experience as the Chief of Security for the Willoughby Municipal Court, a Lieutenant for Lake Metroparks, and the Operations Captain for The Lake County Sheriff’s Office. “Being a public servant in law enforcement for over 30 years, I have never seen so many challenges in mental health and substance use as I do now. My work the Lake ADAMHS Board is to provide help, planning, and give insight to those services that are critical to the health and well-being of citizens who reside in Lake County,” said new Board member Carl Dondorfer.
