Concord Fire Chief Matt Sabo Appointed to Lake County ADAMHS Board
Matt Sabo is the newest member of the Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board. He was appointed by the Lake County Board of Commissioners, and was sworn in during the board’s regular September 17 meeting.
Established by Ohio statute, the ADAMHS Board plans, monitors, and funds Lake County’s network of services for residents with a mental illness and/or substance-use disorders. Those services are delivered through a network of providers. Board members are all Lake County residents who serve without compensation.
Sabo is Chief of the Concord Township Fire Department. He has been with that organization since 1999 in capacities including firefighter/paramedic, EMS coordinator, and lieutenant. He serves on Lake County’s Opiate Task Force, and helped plan and coordinate Lake County’s Quick Response Team. Sabo holds a degree in Public Safety Management from Franklin University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Fire Protection Technology degree from the University of Akron.
